INSEL TOUR

The INSEL TOUR invites you on a historic stroll through the southern area of Schöneberger Insel, a section of the Berlin district of Schöneberg, also known as Rote Insel (“Red Island”). At 19 different stations you will find information panels with illustrations and short texts. Every station focuses on a particular structure or specific topic. There, we also turn our attention to the transformation of the area’s infrastructure as well as to individual events or people. Taken together the tour reveals a portrait of a very diverse neighbourhood that is still shaped by its urban, island-like situation between the railway tracks. Supplementing the panels along the tour is a gratis brochure.
